The Lunar CRater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) was a robotic spacecraft operated by NASA. It was launched together with the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) on June 18, 2009, as part of the shared Lunar Precursor Robotic Program, the first American mission to the Moon in over ten years. Together, LCROSS and LRO form the vanguard of NASA’s return to the Moon, and are expected to influence United States government decisions on whether or not to colonize the Moon.
LCROSS was designed to watch as the launch vehicle’s spent Centaur upper stage, with a nominal impact mass of 2,305 kg (5,081 lb), struck the crater Cabeus near the south pole of the Moon. LCROSS suffered a malfunction on August 22, depleting half of its fuel and leaving very little fuel margin in the spacecraft. Impact occurred successfully on October 9, 2009, at 11:31 UTC.
Fan-submitted Theory
Alert conspiracyencyclopedia.com fan Daniel conjectures that the impact caused the moon’s orbital pattern to shift, in turn disrupting the earth’s natural orbit, and causing the series of ‘natural’ disasters in the south pacific in late September 2009 (the Samoan tsunami).
The disparity between the time of the earthquake, September 29, 2009, and the impact on the moon, October 9, 2009, is explained by NASA deception whereby the alleged live telecast on the internet was actually a recording from at least 11 days earlier. This cover-up is in keeping with historical NASA deception over their moon operations.
This theory is officially endorsed by conspiracyencyclopedia.com. Also, we are furious at the arrogance of the scienticians who think they can blow the shit out of our moon as the whim takes them. Leave OUR fucking moon alone assholes.
